When we say every body belongs, we mean it, even when we’re talking about travel.
We refuse to believe that the only people who need to retreat from the world to remember the magic of their own sacred human experience are the people who can afford to pay market rates for a retreat, so we’ve decided to fund our retreats by collective contribution - the way we fund everything we do at the studio.
Here’s how it works:
Every retreat has a suggested market rate listed as a guide and a total required for us to fully fund the retreat. We invite you to consider committing an amount that reflects your financial capacity. If the retreat has the option for a double occupancy room, then you are given that option at registration. Even if you don’t pay market rates, you are welcome to select single occupancy if you know that a solo room is important to your travel experience. If you don’t mind sharing a room or want to travel with someone specific, then select double occupancy.
Once we have hit the minimum total commitment (typically around $30,000), you will be invoiced for a $500 deposit (or an amount equivalent to 25% of your total commitment if your total is $500 or under).
That’s it. That’s the whole process.
You don’t have to prove your financial capacity. You don’t need to be selected for a scholarship. You just need to book your transportation and come with us because when we say every body belongs, we mean it in every way you can imagine.

Sarah Stevens
Sarah is a writer, speaker, entrepreneur, and embodiment practitioner. She is the founding owner at Sanctuary Studios, and since 2018, she’s been on a mission to change the way we relate to our bodies.
Beginning with The Beautifull Project, she amplified a message that moved beyond a body-positive sentiment and created a movement that makes room for every body to tell their truth and take up space. Today, she is pouring that message into Sanctuary Studios, intent on creating a place for people to come back to their bodies and home to themselves. She created the Somatic Sessions as a practice and a pathway for this work, using movement as a means to being embodied.
