remembered
a somatic experience in the rockies
There are places within you that have been waiting - quietly, patiently - to be seen again. Places that stepped back, took on too much, or disappeared entirely, just to help you keep going. This is a normal part of being human and one of the ways we survive.
But it is not the only way.
Remembered is an invitation to return to those places gently, without force, without fixing. Set against the steady presence of the Rocky Mountains, this retreat offers a space to listen inward with curiosity and care, to meet the parts of you that have been overlooked and burdened by carrying more than they were ever meant to hold.

What We’ll Explore
Rooted in somatic practices and inspired by the spirit of Internal Family Systems, our time together is less about analysis and more about relationship. Through guided movement, reflective inquiryquiet reflection, nature immersion, and spacious group experiences, we begin to sense the inner landscape not as something to solve, but as something to which we can safely return.
Here, every part of you is approached with curiosity and compassion. The protective strategies you’ve relied on, the younger aspects of yourself that still carry unmet needs, the emotions that feel too big or too distant - all are honored as meaningful expressions of your wise body.

Cost: Collective Contribution
What this means:
At Sanctuary, we have a commitment to being sure that every body belongs, but we also know that we have to consider the financial implications of this kind of invitation, especially when it comes to travel. While there are fixed costs like airfare that we can’t change, we get to decide how we can make our retreats as accessible as possible for as many people as possible.
To that end, this trip will be funded by collective contribution. Below you will find the market rate for the retreat which includes stipends to compensate the team for all programming and practices, breakfast and lunch every day, and overnight accommodations at The Colorado Chautauqua for four nights. You will have a private room in a two-bedroom cottage with a fully equipped kitchen and screened-in porch. Our location is surrounded by hiking trails but also centrally located near downtown Boulder, allowing you to create whatever kind of experience best suits you and the needs of your body.
Travel to Boulder is not included in the price of the trip, but if you decide to fly, we will be able to transport you from the Denver airport to the retreat location.
This retreat will be funded when we have collected $30,000 in total to cover the costs mentioned above. About 70% of that amount covers the fixed expense of the lodging and the meals. About 30% of that amount will be used to compensate your team. Anything contributed in excess of $30,000 will increase the compensation of the team.
If you can pay market rates or more for this 4-night | 5-day experience, then we invite you to contribute in a way that matches your financial capacity. If you can’t pay market, you are still most welcome with us. Just let us know what you can contribute and we will add this toward our collective total. The accommodation The rooms will be booked on a first-come-first served basis, and the retreat will be considered funded when we have commitments at or in excess of $30,000.
Market Rate for Retreat: $2500 per room
*$500 nonrefundable deposit due when booking the retreat - total due by September 1st, 2026

Meet the Team
Sarah Stevens
Sarah is a writer, speaker, entrepreneur, and embodiment practitioner. She is the founding owner at Sanctuary Studios, and since 2018, she’s been on a mission to change the way we relate to our bodies.
Beginning with The Beautifull Project, she amplified a message that moved beyond a body-positive sentiment and created a movement that makes room for every body to tell their truth and take up space. Today, she is pouring that message into Sanctuary Studios, intent on creating a place for people to come back to their bodies and home to themselves. She created the Somatic Sessions as a practice and a pathway for this work, using movement as a means to being embodied.
